If this doesn't make you want to go to Alaska, nothing will. Click here for a gorgeous narrated slide show of a 33-day tour of Wrangell–St. Elias National Park: 25 days on foot, eight days in a raft. Zero days on trails. Zero non-ranger visitors encountered. Incredible photos.
Anyone know Gnarwhale, who posted this on Teton Gravity Research, or the other folks in these photos? I'd like to give credit where it's due. This is one of the best trip reports I've ever seen online. Tip of the hat to Fitz Cahall for pointing it out. Update: According to a comment below, Gnarwhale is Jim Harris from Salt Lake City.

His name is Jim Harris and he lives in Salt Lake. In case it isn't clear from the TR, he is the man. He's also not afraid to slay Wasatch pow in early October.
Awesome, thanks very much. I hope Jim or someone else will name all the people on this cool trip.
I'm flattered! And also to hear that Fitz was impressed. His podcasts are regular road-trip listening for me.
The other participants are Adam Steel, Joe Dyer and Cisco Tharp, all of whom are Colorado boys. The four of us work together for Outward Bound in Leadville.
Cheers,
Jim
Yeah, Cisco was a CSU guy. We taught a couple rock climbing classes together, awesome dude!
Big up to Jim, Joe, Adam, and Cisco, and their employer, Outward Bound, who helped to make all the shenanigans possible. Yo!!!
