Just when you think you've seen it all. Maybe I can get a job at Ouray next year...
I think spotting in this situation is ridiculous when you weigh the odds and severity of injuring the spotter vs. the climber. I mean, the climber's clipped & on TR. Yes, he could deck but he could also swing around and pick out an eyeball.
